With millions of Amdavadis, I and Raju Vednayagam witnessed 137^th  Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra. On Ashadha Maas Shukla  Dwitiya(second day of waxing moon cycle in the Hindu month of Ashadh) after the Pahind Vidhi (Path Cleaning on chariot of Lord Jagannath) Lord Krishna come out to visit the city with his sister Subhdraji and brother Baldevji. Rathyatra covers 18 kilometer of route around the old Amdavad with 18 elephants. The city streets overflows with devotees to meet Lord Jagannath. The procession halts at Saraspur at Mama’s Place (Mother’s Brother) for ‘Maha Bhog’ (Grand Meal). The Rath proceeds further to compete the yatra around the city.
